The Linyi Trade City Centralized Procurement and Product Selection Center opened on Oct 27, alongside the headquarters base of Lingxian Weilai Technology Group in Lanshan district, Linyi, East China's Shandong province.
The center is a supply chain integration hub for East China, jointly invested by Lingxian Weilai and the Lanshan district industrial development group. It combines product display, on-site selection, supply-demand matchmaking, digital procurement, smart warehousing and livestreaming, and now hosts more than 400 merchants.
Wang Xi, founder and general manager of Lingxian Weilai, said the center uses digital tools to build a working system rather than a conventional procurement venue, serving merchants across the full sourcing chain.
The company, a business-to-business procurement service provider, has built a smart warehousing and logistics center, a B2B industrial internet showroom, a research laboratory and a manufacturing plant in Linyi, aiming to move the city's trade from scattered purchasing to centralized procurement and from local wholesale to nationwide supply.
Yu Xianting, general manager of the corporate business unit at Guangdong Demashi Intelligent Kitchen Equipment Co, a long-time partner of Lingxian Weilai, said the company is opening a showroom in Linyi to build a business-to-business procurement platform.
Linyi has 136 specialized wholesale markets carrying 27 categories and more than 6 million product varieties, with over 3,000 freight routes reaching all counties and ports in China. Shandong's provincial government issued measures last year to support the high-quality development of Linyi Trade City, with digital and international transformation as the main line.
The new center complements the Linyi International Product Selection Center, which connects local manufacturers with overseas buyers, giving Linyi Trade City a two-track model covering both domestic procurement and export.
