Global buyers conference to boost Linyi's trade reach, international profile

The 4th Linyi Trade City International Sourcing Conference will take place in Linyi, Shandong, from Oct 28 to 30. Featuring the theme "Bridging the world, sourcing global excellence", the event will bring together domestic and international buyers and suppliers to explore business opportunities, establish trade partnerships and learn about new products and technologies.

The conference features an opening ceremony and three major supporting events: an export commodities expo, a special sourcing session at the Linyi International Product Selection Center, and a targeted procurement matchmaking fair. Fifteen district-level events and buyer inspection tours will also be held.

The event features 10 product zones and 1,200 booths covering local specialties like machinery and daily goods. It will bring together over 2,000 international buyers from more than 110 countries and regions, alongside over 3,000 domestic buyers.

A one-stop foreign trade zone offering customs, logistics, tax, translation, and legal assistance will also be set up, while an upgraded mini-program will provide pre-registration and buyer-supplier matching services.

Ticket discounts, local cuisine, and traditional cultural experiences round out the experience, with buyers invited to tour markets and scenic spots. 

Linyi has continued to leverage its national market procurement pilot, adding 2,140 registered entities in the first nine months. It organized over 1,300 enterprise visits to 150 trade fairs and hosted targeted matchmaking for more than 800 enterprises through the Linyi International Product Selection Center.

The city also set up overseas service stations in 11 key countries, including South Korea, Singapore, Kazakhstan, and Kenya, to support market research and buyer matchmaking. Foreign trade reached 130.3 billion yuan ($19.53 billion) in the first nine months, up 2.4 percent year-on-year.
