Shandong Energy Conservation Week kicks off in Linyi to advocate low-carbon development

The launching ceremony of 2026 National Energy Conservation Publicity Week for Shandong Province was held in Linyi on June 15, with the theme of "New Starting Point for Energy Conservation, Marching towards Low Carbon Future".

In recent years, Linyi has made remarkable achievements in energy conservation and emission reduction. By the end of 2025, the city’s energy consumption per unit of GDP dropped by 29.7% compared with 2020. It has cultivated 208 green manufacturing enterprises at or above the municipal level. Two local projects were selected into national and provincial green and low-carbon demonstration lists. The province's energy and carbon accounting platform was officially launched at the ceremony.

Linyi takes the opportunity of the publicity week to spread green development concepts. The city will continue to optimize energy structure, accelerate industrial low-carbon transformation, and lead the whole society to practice energy conservation and environmental protection.
