Mengyin delivers warm livelihood services for people with disabilities

Mengyin County of Linyi focuses on solving the difficulties of people with disabilities and optimizing supporting services. The county has standardized the disability assessment work and simplified the certificate processing procedures. It has launched green channels, whole-process agency and door-to-door services for the disabled, especially those with severe disabilities who have difficulty moving around, realizing "zero runs" for certificate application.

The local government also develops home-based care services with personalized plans for needy groups. In addition, it cooperates with enterprises and training institutions to carry out vocational skills training covering e-commerce, planting and processing. A number of disabled people have secured stable jobs with social insurance, effectively improving their living conditions.

Mengyin takes serving people with disabilities as an important part of implementing a people-oriented governance philosophy.
