Lanling develops full industrial chain for standardized vegetable agriculture

Lanling County is known as the Vegetable Garden of Shandong, yet its traditional vegetable industry lacked unified tracing standards and integrated processing and logistics links, leading low added value of raw agricultural products.

The county launched the "Agriculture Safety Protecting People" full industrial chain project with closed-loop production, processing and sales layout supported by digital traceability, modern cold chain logistics and deep food processing. The whole industrial chain project achieves an annual output value exceeding 500 million yuan and drives over 1,000 local residents to secure stable jobs. Every batch of vegetables can be traced from farmland to sales terminal via digital management systems, and standardized processing workshops turn fresh vegetables into prefabricated dishes, pickles and packaged agricultural goods to extend product profit margins.

Lanling will further improve the digital agricultural supervision platform, expand cold chain infrastructure coverage, and deepen integration of planting, processing and e-commerce to lift comprehensive competitiveness of regional vegetable characteristic industry.
