Linyi recently spearheaded a major economic initiative as 57 premium labor-protection enterprises traveled to South Korea for a targeted trade delegation.
The event featured a specialized matchmaking fair held from July 5 to 8 at the KINTEX venue in South Korea. Linyi businesses showcased over 100 core products, including protective eyewear, masks, and specialized workwear, engaging in one-on-one negotiations with over 60 South Korean buyers, e-commerce platforms, and trade agents.
This proactive overseas push was strongly supported by the Linyi Overseas Service Station in South Korea, which coordinated exhibition logistics and buyer invitations. The station has played a pivotal role in linking local industries with international markets, currently advancing multiple cooperation projects such as overseas exhibition centers and centralized procurement initiatives. Officials plan to organize over 15 trade matching events and foster new foreign trade enterprises throughout the year.
The combination of aggressive corporate expansion and robust governmental policy support has significantly bolstered Linyi's trade performance. From January to April, total import and export volume between Linyi and South Korea reached 8.64 billion yuan ($1.18 billion), driven by vibrant market entities and optimized trade structures. This successful bilateral momentum continues to open new distribution channels and elevate Linyi's global economic presence.
