Linyi accelerates new energy commercial vehicle sector

Linyi is rapidly emerging as a hub for new energy commercial vehicles, building a robust industrial ecosystem spanning raw materials, parts, manufacturing, and applications. From January to May, Linyi Lingang Economic Development Area produced 5,590 new energy commercial vehicles, generating 1.73 billion yuan ($236 million) in output value — a staggering 2,660 percent year-on-year surge — with 6,619 units sold.

Key local enterprises are spearheading this growth. Shandong Reach Electric Vehicle Co Ltd continues to upgrade its product lineup, expand foreign trade, and develop intelligent driverless vehicle projects. Meanwhile, DeepWay, a smart new-energy heavy-truck maker, has completed production line renovations that double its manufacturing capacity.

By expanding market reach through active sales alignment, DeepWay has successfully delivered 380 vehicles. These strategic milestones underscore Linyi's thriving automotive sector, driving regional economic transformation and establishing a strong foundation for future green transportation innovations.
