Linyi holds coordination meeting for 26th Shandong Prouince Sports Games

A coordination meeting for preparation work of the 26th Shandong Prouince Sports Games was held on the morning of July 28 in Linyi. Yu Shengtao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Linyi Municipal Committee and Mayor of Linyi, presided over the meeting and delivered remarks, with Vice Mayor Wang Yinghai in attendance.

Yu Shengtao stressed that hosting the provincial games is a key political task assigned by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Shandong Provincial People's Government, as well as a precious opportunity to showcase the old revolutionary base's image and lift the city's global influence. All departments must shoulder full responsibility to deliver a high-quality, flawless sports gala.

He required organizers to polish details of the opening and closing ceremonies, and fully advance audience arrangement, service support and city-wide atmosphere building. The city will adhere to a practical, cost-effective hosting philosophy to allocate every fund efficiently and present a concise yet touching grand event.

Post-event long-term development will also be prioritized. Linyi will fully utilize competition venues after the games, continuously launch various sports events covering mass fitness, striving to host competitions every month and deliver highlights each year.

All relevant departments must clarify responsibilities, strengthen overall scheduling and improve emergency response plans while strictly safeguarding safety bottom lines, to stage a splendid, distinctive, harmonious provincial sports gathering.
