Shanghai‑Linyi forum boosts agricultural and food‑processing industrial cooperation

A special forum on Shanghai‑Linyi cooperation for agricultural produce and food‑processing industry was convened in Shanghai during the Yimeng‑Spirit‑themed exchange week, deepening production‑marketing links between Linyi's high‑quality farm products and Yangtze River Delta consumer markets.

Linyi is an important supplier of fruits and vegetables for the Yangtze River Delta. Up to 305 standardized agricultural supply bases serve the delta region, shipping more than 3 million tons of fruits and vegetables annually to Shanghai and surrounding cities. Two out of every three peaches sold on Shanghai markets are produced in Linyi.

At the forum, representatives from Linyi agricultural enterprises, food processors had in‑depth dialogues with purchasing groups, supermarket chains and food‑processing groups from Shanghai and surrounding Yangtze River Delta cities. Participants discussed product standards, cold‑chain logistics, brand co‑building and long‑term stable supply mechanisms.

Both sides reached multiple preliminary intentions for direct sourcing, deep‑processing project joint development and brand promotion. Linyi enterprises will further adapt product specifications to Yangtze River Delta consumption habits. Shanghai partners will open wider retail and wholesale channels for Linyi specialty agricultural goods.

The forum builds a direct bridge linking Linyi rural producers with large‑scale Yangtze River Delta consumption markets. It helps expand sales channels for Linyi farm goods and enriches high‑quality agricultural product supply for consumers in Shanghai and surrounding areas.
