Tancheng highway center builds comfortable and accessible rural road network with solid efforts

Tancheng County Highway Development Center keeps advancing high‑quality construction, maintenance and upgrading of county‑level highway networks. Centered on the goal of building safe, smooth, beautiful and convenient roads, the department carries out comprehensive improvement projects for national and provincial highways and rural roads, turning road networks into vital arteries for people's wellbeing and county‑level economic growth.

Focusing on 126 kilometers of national and provincial trunk highways within Tancheng, the center pushes forward routine pavement maintenance, traffic‑safety‑facility renovation and road‑side landscape upgrading. It completes rectification for 149 road crossings, installs flashing warning lights, guardrails and crossing piles, and removes visual obstacles at intersections to eliminate hidden traffic risks.

The G205 Shanshen Line Tancheng bypass project, with a total investment of 1.006 billion yuan and total length of 22.647 kilometers, has passed official acceptance. Constructed according to first‑class highway standards, the project diverts through‑traffic away from downtown Tancheng, optimizes regional road layouts, and has won the national “Beautiful Highway” honor.

Beyond infrastructure construction, Tancheng establishes long‑term management mechanisms. Joint inspections by highway, traffic‑enforcement and township authorities tackle illegal occupation of road space, disorderly roadside stacking and unregulated roadside constructions. The county promotes the “Beautiful Highway” experience from G205 to the whole trunk‑road system, integrating road construction, ecological landscaping and industrial development.

Well‑connected road networks shorten travel time for residents, facilitate freight transport for local agricultural products and manufacturing goods, and lay solid transport foundations for rural vitalization and integrated urban‑rural development in Tancheng.
