Daigu town in Mengyin county, Linyi, East China's Shandong province, has been improving government services at the grassroots level as part of the city's "Worry-free Services in Linyi" brand, focusing on enterprise development and residents' access to administrative services.
Rather than waiting for residents to come to them, staff from the town's convenience service center and market regulation office regularly visit local cooperatives, small and micro enterprises, and self-employed businesses to hear directly about the difficulties they face. They explain preferential policies for enterprises and farmers, offer consultation and agency services, and keep records of business requests to ensure every case is followed through, aiming to lower institutional costs for market players.
The town has also strengthened its service facilities, improved hardware, optimized procedures and refined its agency mechanism, so that more frequently requested services can be handled nearby and promptly. It has simplified steps and shortened processing times to address long-standing complaints about repeated trips and excessive documentation.
Daigu town said it will continue to address weak links, deliver pro-business and pro-people services, and use a first-rate grassroots business environment to support the town's all-around rural revitalization.
