Electronic information tech market unveiled in Linyi high-tech zone

The electronic information sci-tech market, also serving as the high-tech zone branch of the Linyi Sci-Tech Market, was inaugurated on the morning of Sept 28 in the Linyi High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in East China's Shandong province.

Yin Hongtao, director of the Linyi Sci-Tech Innovation Service Center, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhang Mingkun, a leader of the zone, was also present. Yin and Zhang jointly unveiled the plaques for the two markets.

The meeting noted that building the market is a key step in advancing the high-quality development of the zone's electronic information industry and an important link in taking over municipal sci-tech resources and deepening the integration of the innovation chain and the industrial chain. The market will focus on such segments as magnetic components, automotive electronics, consumer electronics and integrated circuits, building a professional platform for the commercialization of research results and establishing databases of enterprise needs and research achievements to enable precise matching of supply and demand.

Officials said the market should reach out to enterprises above designated size and high-tech enterprises to build records of their needs and dynamically update their requirements for technology, talent and financing, so that "when enterprises call, the platform responds." It should also connect with innovation resources beyond the city, deepen cooperation with universities and research institutes, and establish a coordinated mechanism of "enterprises posing questions, universities solving them, and platforms commercializing the results."

The market will introduce professional institutions offering testing and inspection, intellectual property and sci-tech finance services, and help small and micro enterprises access sci-tech loans such as the "Yike Loan" and the pilot-testing loan, so as to reduce innovation costs. It aims to build a full-chain loop covering basic research, technological breakthroughs, results commercialization and industrialization, and facilitate the local commercialization of more research results in the zone.

The zone's sci-tech innovation bureau introduced the construction plan for the market, and the operator of the Linyi Sci-Tech Market presented the platform's functions and operating guidelines. About 40 people attended the ceremony, including officials from zone departments and representatives of local electronic information enterprises.
