Feixian hosts Shandong super volleyball league to boost mass sports vitality

The 2026 Shandong Super Volleyball League opened in Feixian on July 4, jointly sponsored by five provincial-level departments including the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Sports and Shandong Department of Education. Senior provincial officials and Linyi municipal leaders attended the opening ceremony.

As a high-profile provincial mass sports event, the league adopts a "sub-station selection + final competition" system, with four sub-stations in Feixian, Jinan, Dongying and Qingdao. It covers college teachers and students as well as enterprise and public institution staff across the province, with two competition groups set up for different participants.

The Feixian station, serving as the opening stop of the provincial league, attracted 30 teams and 300 athletes. Participants competed on the field with positive spirits, fully demonstrating the charm of mass volleyball and the vigorous sports style of Shandong people.

Hosting the provincial-level sports event further improves Feixian's large-scale event hosting capacity, popularizes national fitness culture, activates urban sports vitality, and promotes the integrated development of mass sports and cultural tourism in Linyi.
