Daxing town promotes quality wheat seeds ahead of autumn sowing

Villagers in Daxing town, Linshu county, Linyi in East China's Shandong province, have been actively placing orders for quality wheat seeds as autumn sowing approaches.

A major wheat producing town, Daxing maintains an annual planting area of 90,000 mu (about 6,000 hectares). In recent years, the town has continuously promoted improved wheat varieties, selecting strains suited to local soil and climate conditions that offer strong disease resistance, stable yields and good maturity performance for farmers to choose from.

The town has also implemented subsidy policies for quality seeds and promoted seed coating technology, aligning good seeds with good methods to lay a solid foundation for a bumper summer grain harvest next year.
