3 Linyi projects win awards at Shandong high-value patent competition

Three projects from Linyi, East China's Shandong province, won a second prize, a third prize and a merit award at the 2026 China Shandong High-Value Patent Transformation Competition, which recently concluded.

The competition, known as "Xingaosa", attracted 458 projects from across the country, with only 37 advancing to the final. Shandong Lumei Magnetic Materials Co Ltd won the second prize for its amorphous alloy strip preparation and industrialization project; Linyi University won the third prize for its key technologies and industrial application of a precise control system for the whole process of intelligent additive manufacturing; and Lunan Better Pharmaceutical Co Ltd won the merit award for its technological innovation and industrialization of lifitegrast eye drops.

Now in its seventh year, the competition has cultivated 444 quality patent projects with financing exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.41 billion), becoming one of the most influential patent transformation competitions in China.

So far, Linyi has had 18 award-winning projects in the competition, with a batch of high-value patents accelerating their transformation from paper to real productive forces, providing technical support for the city to cultivate new quality productive forces.
