Teachers and students of Linyi Vocational College of Science and Technology won a silver award at the AI video competition of the 19th Shanghai University Student TV Festival, whose national final concluded on Nov 1.
The award-winning original AIGC work, created by students Wang Yikai, Wang Yehao, Zhang Weijia and Li Qingbo under the guidance of teacher Qin Liting from the college's AIGC industry-education integration training program, advanced to the national final of the MINI film track.
Launched in July, this year's competition featured three tracks of MINI films, AI micro-dramas and AI scripts, attracting participants from 125 universities with 552 entries. The TV festival is a sub-project of the Shanghai TV Festival, also known as the Magnolia Awards, and a recognized campus culture building project of the Ministry of Education.
The college set up the AIGC training program after being selected for a special national program on network audiovisual industry-education talent cultivation by the National Radio and Television Administration. The program, with 17 full-time teachers and 80 students, has undertaken poster and content projects for Yangshipin, China Media Group's new media platform, and presented works at events including a 2026 aerospace gala.
The college said it will deepen school-enterprise cooperation and project-based teaching to cultivate digital media talent for the regional audiovisual industry.
