Phoenix Terrace, a brand-new landmark attraction, was officially completed and put into operation at Hongsao Hometown Tourism Zone in Mamuchi Township, Yinan County, Linyi on June 29.
Integrated with traditional Chinese phoenix culture and Yimeng red cultural heritage, the scenic complex consists of Phoenix Pavilion, Nine Chicks Garden, public squares, 81 Phoenix Welcome Wall, hundred-step stairways and Chinese parasol tree garden. The five-story Phoenix Pavilion stands 25.6 meters high with a construction area of 3,000 square meters. A giant jade phoenix sculpture weighing 70 tons is displayed inside, paired with a stone base carved with vivid dragon patterns, delivering profound traditional cultural charm to visitors.
As a new core scene of the red tourism zone, Phoenix Terrace complements immersive red performances including Retrace the Frontline Support Road and courtyard dramas themed on Hongsao stories. It also enriches night tourism with light shows and connects with Panlong Lake to form a complete cultural and leisure loop. Rooted in the birthplace of the Hongsao Spirit and Yimeng Spirit, the upgraded scenic area expands red tourism consumption space, integrates cultural inheritance and tourism development, and builds a distinctive red cultural brand for Linyi old revolutionary base.
The launch of Phoenix Terrace drives the all-round upgrading of the national 4A-level scenic spot, providing a new landmark for red research, cultural sightseeing and cultural inheritance, and offering a replicable development path for red cultural tourism in mountainous old revolutionary areas.
