Linyi has launched Shandong's first integrated photovoltaic-storage demonstration station for high-power electric heavy-truck charging on national and provincial highways.
The Yitang heavy-truck supercharging demonstration station, located in Lanshan district's Yitang town, was launched on June 25. Led by the Linyi branch of State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company, the project marks a new step in Linyi's green logistics and energy transition.
The station has 15 large vehicle parking spaces, with each charger equipped with dual charging terminals. Eight spaces use advanced liquid-cooled supercharging systems, with single-gun charging power reaching 800 to 1,000 kilowatts. The system can support about 300 kilometers of driving range after 10 minutes of charging, helping reduce range anxiety for logistics operators.
The station also uses PV panels installed on canopies and rooftops, together with energy storage equipment, to create a low-carbon charging cycle for new-energy vehicles.
A key innovation is the use of a 10-kilovolt solid-state transformer system, which directly converts medium-voltage alternating current into a 750-volt direct-current busbar output. This allows PV systems, energy storage and charging piles to connect and operate under unified control.
According to Linyi's plan, the city will build 10 expressway service-area charging stations and 16 national and provincial highway demonstration stations from 2026 to 2027, forming a green charging corridor of nearly 1,000 km.
