A new circular high-speed rail route spanning central, Jiaodong and southern Shandong went into service on June 29, with Train G5555 covering Jinan, Weifang, Qingdao, Rizhao, Linyi and Qufu without transfers.

The full loop takes 6 hours and 8 minutes, calling at 12 stations along the way. After arriving at Qufu East Station, Train G5555 will switch its number to G5558 and continue the circular journey. The route integrates coastal tourism, Confucian cultural heritage and Yimeng characteristic tourism resources, allowing tourists to enjoy coastal scenery, traditional Confucian culture and local Linyi cuisine on a single trip.

The circular high-speed rail network optimizes Shandong’s intercity transport layout, shortens travel time between major cities in the province, and fuels integrated cultural tourism development across Shandong. For Linyi, the new rail line strengthens its connectivity within the Shandong economic circle and injects new momentum into the city's cultural tourism industry.
