Sports goods expo concludes in Linyi with record international turnout

2026-09-02

The 7th Shandong Sporting Goods Exhibition concluded on Aug 29 in Linyi, Shandong, after a three-day run.

The expo featured 40,000 square meters of exhibition space, 516 sports enterprises, and 12 high-level industry events. Over50,000 visitors from more than 30 provinces and overseas markets attended the event to explore products and make purchases.

A highlight of this year's expo was its strengthened international focus, aligning with the "sports going global" trend. From Aug 27 to 28, multiple international buyer matchmaking sessions were held, attracting 152 overseas buyers from 39 countries and regions, with procurement needs spanning smart fitness equipment, outdoor leisure products, venue facilities, and sportswear.

Through one-on-one supply-demand matching and targeted category negotiations, the expo provided domestic enterprises with a direct gateway to overseas markets.

The expo adopted a multi-dimensional approach, seamlessly integrating product showcases, competitive events, and industry forums to create a professional and influential platform for industrial exchange.

Sporting events such as a sports smart manufacturing competition and the national pickleball invitational tournament took place alongside industry forums, bringing together government, business, and academia to discuss trends and pathways for industrial upgrading. The 2026 Shandong Sports Consumption Season (Linyi Station) was held simultaneously, with consumption subsidies and vouchers distributed to boost public sports consumption.
