Linyi International Airport in East China's Shandong province, operated by Shandong Airport Management Group, handled 18,800 passenger trips and operated 156 flights during the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, completing its transport mission with smooth and orderly passenger flows.
Travel was dominated by people returning home for family reunions, combined with short-distance autumn leisure trips. Passenger flows were concentrated before the holiday, leveled off during the middle of the break and returned in an orderly way afterward. No large-scale flight delays occurred.
Domestic routes to major cities operated steadily, meeting demand from people living and working away from home who returned for the festival. Many travelers flew to coastal and western destinations for autumn sightseeing. Relying on the airport's transfer service system, its "Fly via Linyi · Smooth Transfer" product operated efficiently, offering one-time check-in and through-checked baggage, improving the experience of transfer passengers and reinforcing the airport's role as an aviation transfer hub in southern Shandong.
In response to holiday traffic patterns, the airport arranged its support resources in advance, dynamically opening check-in and security channels and activating a green channel for late arrivals to shorten waiting times. It implemented the "Fly Shandong with Ease" service standards, providing one-on-one guidance and assistance for elderly and first-time travelers. It also stepped up inspections of airfield equipment, closely monitored weather changes, refined flight management and properly handled passenger inquiries, while maintaining the bottom line of safe operations.
