36th Yuantong National Day auto show opens in Linyi

The 2026 "China Insurance Cup" 36th Yuantong National Day Auto Show opened at the Yuantong Auto Supermarket in Luozhuang district, Linyi in East China's Shandong province, on Oct 1.

The seven-day show runs through Oct 7, with the main venue in the urban area and sub-venues in counties and districts operating in tandem, offering residents a one-stop automotive event that combines car buying with leisure and entertainment.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Yuantong Group, which is offering discounts of up to 50,000 yuan ($7,000) on vehicle purchases, along with cash rebates for visitors who check in at the show. Brand 4S stores are joining manufacturers in offering direct price cuts, trade-in subsidies and special-priced models. Customers who refer friends can receive service packages worth 1,000 yuan, and those who place orders receive additional benefits.

More than 60 mainstream auto brands are taking part, displaying new vehicles and quality used cars, including new energy vehicles, family sedans and SUVs. Visitors can handle vehicle viewing, selection, trade-ins, maintenance and auto finance and insurance on site. Sub-companies of the Yuantong Group in various counties and districts are holding parallel events, allowing residents to view and buy cars near their homes.

The show is also linked with the Yuantong City BA public basketball tournament, creating a combined "auto show plus sports" consumption scenario. Visitors can view and buy cars during the day at the auto supermarket on Yihe Road South and watch basketball games in the evening at the Yuantong venue on East Beijing Road, where brand nights featuring song and dance performances, interactive games and prize draws are also staged.

Other activities include a giant car model photo wall, cash rebate offers, fun sports challenges, a radio and television music festival, a youth taekwondo competition and a square dance contest.
