A transfer ceremony for the Linyi urban management drone unit was held at the Tianhe Industrial Park, also known as the artificial intelligence industrial park, in Linyi, East China's Shandong province, on the morning of Oct 10, with officials from the city's urban management bureau, the municipal digital urban management center, Linyi City Investment Group and Linyi Data Group, as well as all members of the drone unit, in attendance.
The transfer implements a municipal decision on unified drone flight and multi-purpose use, aiming to combine the technical expertise of the drone team with the data processing strengths of Linyi Data Group and coordinate flight, airspace and data resources.
At the ceremony, the municipal digital urban management center presented the resources being handed over and signed a transfer document with Linyi Data Group. The transfer covers 38 drone unit members, 13 official vehicles, four drones, six sets of supporting equipment and related office assets and archives, marking the official handover of the city's urban management drone resources from the digital urban management center to Linyi Data Group for unified operation and management.
Linyi Data Group will establish a regular coordination mechanism with the urban management bureau and the digital urban management center, working closely on flight task coordination, emergency response and standards alignment, to accelerate the building of a citywide low-altitude governance network covering the whole city and operating efficiently, contributing to Linyi's smart city development and high-quality economic and social growth.
