From Oct 28 to 30, the 4th Linyi Trade City International Sourcing Conference took place in Linyi, East China's Shandong province, drawing more than 2,000 international buyers from over 110 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa and the Middle East, along with more than 4,000 quality domestic buyers.
Walking through the exhibition zones, buyers and sellers negotiated in different languages, with tens of thousands of products on display across ten zones covering hardware, building materials and daily chemicals — a vivid snapshot of the internationalization and digitalization drive of Linyi Trade City.
In the past, Linyi Trade City relied on its trade and logistics advantages to "buy from and sell to the whole country". Today, it is building itself into an international commodity distribution center and an international logistics hub, striving to become a strategic pivot for the province's high-level opening-up. The conference has made the precise attraction of buyers, cargo consolidators and cargo aggregators — the "three types of traders" — its core task: buyers hold orders, consolidators organize supply according to buyers' needs, and aggregators provide comprehensive foreign trade services covering warehousing, logistics, customs clearance and export.
Meanwhile, relying on the ChinaMarket digital trade platform, Linyi is building a province-wide digital cargo pool integrating domestic and foreign trade, connecting online and offline channels and lowering the threshold for small and medium merchants to go global, so that more "Linyi quality products" can find their way to overseas markets.
