On the afternoon of July 9, Zhang Baoliang, Secretary of the CPC Linyi Municipal Committee, met a delegation of African diplomatic envoys visiting for the China-Linyi Africa Economic and Trade Dialogue. The guests included the Ambassador of Gabon, Ambassador of Malawi, First Counselor of Cameroon Embassy and Second Counselor of Senegal Embassy. Zhang extended a warm welcome to all foreign visitors.
He introduced Linyi's strengths as a populous, culturally renowned industrial city in Shandong, home to China's largest commodity market cluster and northern livestream e-commerce base with complete logistics networks. The city pushes the "hundred groups, thousands of enterprises go global" campaign, and he invited African diplomats to connect local buyers and enterprises for win-win cooperation. African envoys responded that they would deepen communication and expand multi-field economic and trade ties with Linyi.
The upcoming dialogue features enterprise matching sessions and field visits to Linyi Trade City and Lingong Group, gathering over 50 local export-oriented manufacturers for targeted talks. The event will further lift Linyi's opening-up level and boost cross-border trade cooperation with African nations.
