The 2026 Qingdao beer and food festival enjoyed a grand opening on the evening of Aug 3 in Yishui county, Linyi, Shandong province, igniting a 10-day summer extravaganza in this historic county.

Designed to elevate local culinary brands and boost consumption, the vibrant event has transformed the riverfront into a bustling hub of sights, sounds, and flavors.

The festival features a lively food market where traditional delicacies, local roasted duck, and famous Yishui stir-fried chicken have been drawing large crowds.

Meanwhile, a unique cultural book market weaves literary charm into the culinary celebration.

As night falls, a stunning drone show lights up the sky above the Yihe River, forming dazzling patterns of soaring phoenixes and golden dragons to symbolize the county's rapid development.

Following the aerial display, the main stage springs to life with dynamic musical performances and interactive contests, including high-energy watermelon-eating and beer-drinking competitions. Visitors revel in the sensory experience, pairing ice-cold beer with local signature dishes.
